Carven

Madame Carven founded her Maison de Couture in 1945, creating practical designs, different from the conservative vision of couture in Paris. Her green-and-white striped cotton fabric became a signature of her house. A spontaneous designer inspired by youth, Carven featured comfortable designs, becoming popular on the streets and in fashion magazines. She traveled worldwide for over five decades, exporting the modern Parisian woman's image.
